About the Lodi Legacy Fund

The Lodi Legacy Fund is the Lodi Community Foundation’s (LCF) signature grantmaking program, launched in 2026 through the generous support of LCF Legacy members Sheila Wishek and Darrell Drummond.

Created to honor the philanthropic legacies of local caring donors, the Lodi Legacy Fund is an endowed fund designed to be a permanent source of local grantmaking. The Fund supports charitable programs and projects that directly serve the Lodi area and its residents.

The Lodi Legacy Fund is intended to grow over time and serve as a catalyst for future legacy gifts and charitable lifetime contributions that will benefit Lodi for generations to come.

Community Driven Approach

The Lodi Legacy Fund operates through an independent, hybrid participatory grantmaking model that brings together a diverse group of community members, including those with lived experience, to help shape funding priorities and recommend grants. This shared decision-making approach helps ensure grant funding reflects local needs, community insight, and firsthand experience.

Grant Focus Areas

Funding priorities are established annually and may be broad or focused, depending on community needs and available funds. Priorities are informed by local data, community input, and relevant needs assessment.

Grants are not made to individuals, political campaigns, or non-charitable purposes.
