2024 Community Philanthropy Summit

Extended – Agency Endowment Matching Program

The offer to participate in an Agency Endowment Matching Program has been extended to 2024 while funds are available. This is an excellent benefit for Lodi nonprofits to establish or grow an endowment and receive matching funds up to $10,000!

Endowments provide nonprofits with the ability to better manage financial assets, forecast for future budgeting and operational needs, and be in a position to navigate new challenge surrounding as well as times of growth. View brochure for information.

Upcoming Fundholder Appreciation Event

Upcoming Fundholder Appreciation Event

Lodi Community Foundation will be holding a fundholders appreciation event on March 7th at Woodbridge Uncorked.

We are excited to host an event that will foster a sense of community among fundholders, providing an opportunity to connect like-minded people with one another and share their experiences.

We believe it is imperative to show our gratitude and appreciation for fundholders and celebrate the positive impact their contributions have had on causes and projects supported by the fund.

The Lodi Community Foundation is committed to strengthening the relationship between the organization and the fundholders, enhancing trust, loyalty, and support!

Do you know a nonprofit agency that could benefit from knowing more about the benefits of having a fund with the Lodi Community Foundation? We would love to meet them and invite them as well! Share this newsletter and our website: www.lodicommunityfoundation.org.

Lodi Adopt-A-Child, Inc. – Nonprofit

Lodi Adopt-A-Child (LAAC) started in the mid-eighties when a street cop with a big heart, Dennis Lewis, saw families with children that weren’t able to have much of a Christmas. His first act of kindness started when he ‘twisted arms’ in the squad room and came up with money to buy presents and food for nine kids and their family. This kind act became a tradition each holiday season, with more families, more kids, and more gifts – with much of the early work and sponsorship coming from the Lodi Police Officers Association.

In 1989 a name was born and Lodi Adopt-A-Child was incorporated as a non-profit. Over the years, the number of children given Christmas gifts has ranged from 650 to over 1100.

Just weeks ago, on December 16, 2023 over 825 children received gifts donated by local families and organizations. LAAC boxed, wrapped, and organized gifts that were strategically distributed at an incredible holiday event for families in need. Within hours of the Big Party, volunteers already began dreaming up how to do it all again, bigger and better for 2024!

“Lodi Adopt-A-Child is all about sharing joy through actual gifts of kindness.”
― Anonymous Gift Giver, December 2023
