Foundation Announces Four Initiatives as Part of Long-Term Strategic Plan

Here at the Foundation, our goal is to set the stage for pivotal change in our community. Together with our donors, or independently through our own direct grantmaking, we create positive impact by focusing on the underlying causes of issues, asking the tough questions and seeking long-term solutions with lasting results. We also do this by inviting key strategic partners, both locally and nationally, to join us and focus resources where they can have the greatest impact on the quality of life in our region. As a community foundation, we specialize in bringing engaged community members together to make a measurable difference in some of this community's toughest issues – from creating a more generous region, fostering a thriving cultural community, expanding equitable access to higher education, to creating a healthy, accessible food system for all.

After listening and learning from key members in the community which included Foundation board members and donors, civic and business leaders, regional funders, and nonprofit providers and advocates who represented a wide range of issues, the Foundation chose four new Strategic Initiatives where the we can play a significant leadership role, make catalytic investments, and partner with key stakeholders. We invite you to join us as we work together to create a community that we can all be proud of – now and always.
